It is no secretive matter that a massive rally & convention for the Rights of the Oppressed had taken place few says ago organized by Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamaath (TNTJ). Even less classified about that was TNTJ’s meeting with the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the kingmaker and gray eminence i.e. the real power behind the Prime Minister, Sonia Gandhi. It appears that the executives of TNTJ were more determined than showing the hundreds of thousands of mass of unified Muslims; they wanted to exert their best possible effort to achieve the important task they took in hand to achieve for the systematically oppressed and institutionally deprived Indian Minority Muslims.
Their only aim was to fight for the long recommended Chief Justice Ranganath Mishra et al recommendation to legislate a ten percent reservation in almost every government institution i.e. education, administration, management, jurisdiction, law, command and regulation. Although TNTJ voiced for all the recommendations of Mishra et al, the crux of their request aimed at obtaining reservation for education. One may wonder at their insistence of the reservation in education, as this does not come as a surprise, since Mishra et al concludes that only three in a hundred Muslim leave college with a university degree. No. It was not a typo that only three in a hundred leave university; it is a bitter truth and a very sad fact.
Islam advocates fighting against oppression. Islam advocates supporting the fight against the oppressed. Prophet Musa AS, in addition to deliver the message of Tawheed, was also sent to fight against oppression. The rights of Israelites were at stake in the kingdom of Fir’aun. Israelites were oppressed and treated as second class citizens. Prophet Musa AS demanded to Fir’aun that those Israelites should be left to him, and left alone of oppression. Al Quran 7: 105, 7:134, 20:47, 26:17, 26:22, 44:18.
Despite the many splinter, attention-seeking, and the so called Islamic groups continuously engaging in mud slinging, belittling and defaming one another, it appears that they happened to have unanimously united against, in what obviously seems to be, a combination of narrow-mindedness and bigotry with sumptuous and radiant ignorance of the true aims of Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamaath. It is no less than a blend of animosity, enmity and predisposed intolerance. One cannot wonder the pathetic attitude of these ineffective, useless coalitions. Of course, a very evil attitude.
Nothing is better than nonsense, they say. It would have been truthful to think that these so called Islamic support group had the slightest respect for Muslims, and they had the least wish for Muslims to attain some respect through obtaining education through the long deprived quota reservations, only if they had restrained themselves. On the contrary they strove very hard preventing Muslims uniting as a mass and demanding their rights for the July the Fourth convention. If the Muslims' demands on July the Fourth were to be legislated, it should insha Allah, uplift the Muslims. Who will work against the uplifting of Muslims? So called Muslim groups?! It sounds very contrary. It seems like snake in the grass. It seems like betrayal.
Shamefully, many educated Muslims, just because they subscribe to a different sectarian methodology as opposed to Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamaath, chose to support these unforgivable behaviors of these so called Islamic groups. Many Muslim degree holders usually come from affluent background, and may be oblivious of the fact, that a college degree is either a costly affair or an unachievable feat since it had been effortlessly handed over to them. But this is not the case for the laymen when you are shocked with a statistic that only three in a hundred Muslims turns out with a University degree. If you had not realized your mistake of missing the opportunity to support the cause, it is never too late to rectify your aberrant ideology.
Tamil Nadu Tawheed Jamaath has taken the lead; for God’s sake, let us just support them with a long term vision in view of helping the wider Muslim community.
When Allah's succour and the triumph cometh And thou seest mankind entering the religion of Allah in troopsThen hymn the praises of thy Lord, and seek forgiveness of Him. Lo! He is ever ready to show mercy. (110:1,2,3)
